Whats New With Heidi Kristoffer?

“Confessions of a Shopaholic” (for those of you who maybe don't know… don't know how, but nonetheless) is a hysterical novel written by Sophie Kinsella that is now being made into a movie by none other than DISNEY and being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by P.J. Hogan. Bet you can't guess who is in it!!! Lucky, lucky, LUCKY ME!!!!!! I had the opportunity to work with some of the most amazingly talented actors ever, and had the most INCREDIBLE time doing it!

Here are some of my fave pics from shooting:

Me with the incredibly talented Wendie Malick and Joan Cusack

There are so many pics, so many fab, fab FAB outfits (don't forget the shoes and bags!!!)

Thank you to everyone on the film for making it SUCH an amazing, unforgettable experience!!!

Once again, I LOVE the peeps at “As The World Turns” – I get to do another episode – this time as a stalker-esque character who is in love with Brad – too much fun! I LOVE it there!!!

My latest episode airs March 14 th – as always, CBS, 2PM EST – check your local listings!

I just finished shooting a short film called “The Gentleman” with an amazing production company called “Starline Films”. It was soooo much fun – the cast, the crew – everyone made every day fly by with lots of tummy-aches from laughing so hard!

“The Gentleman” (short) was accepted into the film festival “Sundays in the City” – SWEET – and Starline plans to start shooting again to turn it into a feature any day now.

In the meantime, here are some of my favorite pics from shooting so far!

Whats New With Heidi Kristoffer?

Okay…   So LOTS has been going on since I last updated this, here are the highlights:

First:  Thursday, October 18th at 10/9C on the USA Network, I am appearing on:

As an upper-east-sider named Kelly.  It was so, so, SOOOO much fun shooting this episode!  Many thanks to everyone on the set – all of the crew and actors, for making my primetime debut SUCH an incredible experience!!!   Make sure you tune in!

In July, right after “The Desire” closed, I appeared on:

As “The Lady In Red” – which made for a fun day of shooting!

As a footnote to my run in “The Desire”, here is my favorite review:

“…gorgeous Heidi Kristoffer lights up the stage with pure starshine as Bob’s wife Marlene; she gives life to what could easily just be a stereotype as a country club spouse…”

-National Board of Review  (THANK YOU!!!!!)

My latest project:

Algonquin Productions Presents:

A Staged Reading of

The Desire

Featuring:

James Blanshard, Wendell Franklin, Royce Johnson, Heidi Kristoffer, Kellie E. McCants, & Kerri Miller

Written by actor and award-winning independent filmmaker, Jackie Alexander, The Desire deals with a wealthy attorney who is embarrassed when his cousin, a Katrina survivor, shows up at his Long Island mansion with nothing but the clothes on his back and secrets from the past.

Billed as a “Hilarious and heartbreaking comedy drama for teens and up.”  I get to be the comic relief – I WIN!  The official first run of the show opens April 27th at the Billie Holiday Theatre and runs through June 23, 2007.

The staged reading is Monday, March 5th, and I am extremely excited!!!

This year, I had the honor and privilege of taking part in the National Board of Review’s Awards Gala as both a co-producer and the “awards girl” – uber fun!  The main producer of the event was John Gallgher and my fellow co-producer was Greg Segal (both of Angel Baby Entertainment.)

Here’s a pic of me and John (my fave director of all time) at the step and repeat.

The gala took place on January 9th at Cipriani 42nd Street in NYC – yay for Bellinis and a gorgeous venue!   Bvlgari was the sponsor, and they were kind enough to deck me out in their diamonds and pearls – sweet!!!!

The event was a smashing success – Jesse L. Martin made an incredible MC, and I was sooooooo incredibly thrilled to be on the same stage with the likes of Clint Eastwood, Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Jonathan Demme, Oliver Stone, Pedro Almodovar, Jason Reitman, Bette Midler, Catherine O’Hara, Parker Posey, John Patrick Shanley, Penelope Cruz, Helen Mirren, James Cromwell, Forest Whitaker, Irwin Winkler, Kevin Kline, Eli Wallach, Alejandro Gonzalez Innaritu, Rinko Kikuchi, Jennifer Hudson, Sarah Jessica Parker, Mark Wahlberg, Vera Formiga, Terrence Howard, Tipper Gore, Lawrence Bender, Davis Guggenheim, Annabella Sciorra, Elisabeth Shue, Ryan Gosling, Djimon Hounsou, David Wain, Jon Kilik and studio heads Alan Horn (Warners), Ron Meyer (Universal), John Lesher (Paramount Vantage), Daniel Battsek (Miramax), Peter Rice (Fox Searchlight) and Tom Bernard and Michael Barker (Sony Classics) to name a few!!!

Many thanks to all of the folks at the National Board of review for allowing me to be a part of such an incredible event!

I just wrapped a new feature film, a horror comedy called HOT BABY, co-starring Mel Gorham (SMOKE, COPLAND), Adam Scarimbolo (A GUIDE TO RECOGNIZING YOUR SAINTS, the 2006 Sundance Ensemble Cast winner), Noah Fleiss (one of the stars of BRICK, another 2006 Sundance winner), Emily Grace (star of the 2004 Sundance winner WHAT ALICE FOUND), Brian Vincent (THE DELI, BLUE MOON), and many others.

I had the absolute time of my LIFE shooting this film!  I got to work with an incredibly talented cast, an amazing team of producers (John Gallagher, Greg Segal and Michael Malagiero,) a wonderful first time director (Jeff Roenning) AND, for my first time ever got to do STUNTS!!!  I had the great honor of working with two amazing stunt guys – Manny Siverio (who taught me how to use a gun and how to get shot!)

and Jeff Ward (who taught me how to get clocked on the head with a hammer and fall like a pile of bricks!)

Part of the added bonus to the already amazingly fun stunts was that I got to sport some really gnarly bruises throughout the movie (which you can see in several of the pictures,) provided by the talented Dave Presto.

We had a really fun shoot – all on locations – that included an actual deserted town in New Jersey – CREEPY!!!  Here are a few of my favorite pics:

The “Hot Baby Kids” –Bryan Wilson, Lauren Waisbren, Emily Grace, Adam Scarimbolo, Trevor Heins, Noah Fleiss and Me

With producer John Gallagher          Clowning around with producer Greg Segal

With “movie boyfriend” Noah          Having a blast being bloody with Adam

Can you tell we had fun?!  “Hot Baby” is scheduled for release early 2007 – keep a lookout!
